Key Steps in the Counselling Process

Online Registration:

Candidates must register on the official counselling portal (nchmcounselling.nic.in) after the expected result declaration in 3rd week of May 2026. A non-refundable counselling fee of Rs 2,000 is required to participate.

Choice Filling and Locking:

Seats are allotted based on merit (AIR), reservation norms, and choices filled. Candidates can check their allotment status online after each round.

Seat Acceptance Fee and Document Verification:

To confirm a seat, candidates must pay a Seat Acceptance Fee (typically  Rs. 20,000, adjusted in the first semester fee) and upload required documents for online verification at designated centers. Failure to pay the fee or complete verification results in seat cancellation.

Vacancy and Upgradation:

After each round, vacant seats are announced, and candidates can participate in subsequent rounds for upgradation or fresh allotment.

Reporting to Allotted Institute:

After final allotment, candidates must physically report to their allotted institute in July/August 2026 for admission formalities and hostel allotment.
